ART SANDWICHES

Texas based art nerds.

2012 so far.

Art Sandwiches and Burning Bones’ show at M-squared gallery was a success pretty much all the way around. Here’s out commemorative poster, printed by Carlos, Pat and myself.

And then yesterday (I think?) we all found out this happened. Well, they painted over the mural. I don’t have a picture of a white wall. Anyways, it may seem trivial, but it strikes a blow to culture, history, and art. It’s unfortunate, and the flimsy lie the restaurant group used as to why they covered it, (the city demanded they do so) is a slap in the face to all of us.

A Show about Texas

We’re truly thrilled and honored to be showing with Master Printer out of Flatbed Press Austin Patrick Masterson and renowned local artists Carlos Hernandez, and Cathie Kayser.
Pat has worked with Trenton Doyle Hancock, James Surls, John Alexander… just everybody.
Carlos is an all around rockstar and has worked made gig posters for just about any band you can think of, as well as his work with St. Arnolds Brewery and his “Day of the Dead Rockstar” series.
Cathie is another amazing artist, running Print Matters out of Houston.
Pat, Carlos and Cathie collectively make up ‘Burning Bones Press’, the best print shop in town, and just about the best in the state.

We’re lucky and proud to share a show with these great people. So, without further ado, Art Sandwiches presents “OKLAHOMA: A SHOW ABOUT TEXAS” (Or just “A SHOW ABOUT TEXAS”, we don’t care).
